Set-up & Teardown
Starting the Thursday before the event, set-up will involve a bit of heavy lifting as we will be setting up and decorating the pavilion, the tent, and the bar areas. Set-up will continue on Friday from 9:00 am to the start of the festival at 4:00 pm. Teardown will take place on Sunday afternoon after the festival ends at 7:00 pm. While this sounds like hard work – and some of it is – it is also a great opportunity to get to be one of the first people on the festival grounds and meet the people of the GACC and the TEV Edelweiss Club.
This year, we will be offering some exciting, new competitions including Keg Bowling, a Silent Auction, a Beer Stein Hoisting Competition, and a Dachshund Race. We need volunteers to help make sure each event runs smoothly.
Are you great with kids? Do you enjoy setting up and organizing games? Then this is the job for you! You will get to help our next generation of revelers and their parents make some amazing memories by helping out with foot darts or the bouncy castle.
Entry and Ticketing
We need a dedicated cadre of GACC members, who are good with numbers to handle money, operate our register, and assist in getting pre-registered people, walkups and volunteers in the gate.
While our guests are enjoying themselves, there are some very vital tasks that we need help with. The control of vehicles coming into the area as well as exiting, making sure food tables and festival grounds are clean and orderly, and supporting GACC staff, entertainers and the bar, as needed.
